Job Summary:

Lead the collection, cleaning, and validation of large datasets from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within complex datasets. Develop and refine statistical models and machine learning algorithms to predict business outcomes and customer behaviour Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions across departments, including marketing, sales, and product development. Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into analytical solutions. Providing technical leadership and best practices in data analysis and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve data collection, processing, and analysis methods to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and implement best practices within the team.

  • 7+ years’ experience in a data analytics or engineering role with a solid understanding of technical, business, and operational process requirements
  • SQL: Proficiency in SQL is crucial for querying databases, extracting data, and performing data manipulation tasks.
  • Excel: Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
  • Python: Used for data manipulation, analysis, and creating scripts for automation. Libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib are commonly used.
  • R: Another popular language for statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Tableau/Power BI: Experience with these tools for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Data Visualization Libraries: Knowledge of libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn (Python), or ggplot2 (R) for visualizing data trends and patterns.
  • Descriptive and Inferential Statistics: Understanding measures like mean, median, variance, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing.
  • Regression Analysis: Proficiency in linear and logistic regression, as well as understanding other predictive modelling techniques.
  • Data Interpretation: Ability to interpret complex datasets and draw meaningful insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, enabling the analyst to approach data challenges logically and creatively.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and consistency in data analysis, spotting anomalies, and correcting them.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding the industry and specific business context to make data-driven recommendations that align with business goals.
  • KPI Development: Ability to define, measure, and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the business.
  • Data Storytelling: Ability to present complex data findings in a clear, concise, and engaging way, making insights accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Report Writing: Strong written communication skills for creating detailed reports that explain the analysis process, findings, and recommendations.

  • Database Management: Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle for managing and querying large datasets.
  • Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is a plus for handling large-scale data.
  • ETL Tools: Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica for data integration.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, understanding the importance of integrating data insights into broader business strategies.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile project management techniques, including Scrum or Kanban, for managing data projects.

Essential Skill set:
  • Hands on experience of managing complete existing product development activities (Namely Cost out, Quality and Product obsolescence) for product-based organizations.
  • Good experience on existing product development process and working with remote team.
  • Strong in mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5~8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in Vendor Qualification, developing Manufacturing Quality plan, Tooling and component qualification & Thorough understanding of PPAP process.
Desirable Skill set:
  • Excellent organizational skills required to manage small and large projects.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and practices in the design, development, and verification of possible solutions
  • Ability to develop design concepts and turn into finished/product launch.
  • Mechanical design knowledge ranging from component design to system level.
  • Knowledge on either one of the below processes

    • -Value engineering methodologies and how to apply them.

    -Quality Project execution and standards such as Risk assessment, Root cause analysis procedures, DFMEA, PFMEA, ISO, etc.

    -Obsolescence management

  • Knowledge of DFM & DFA with respect to ease of manufacture and assembly.
  • Oversee testing and analysis of products to determine product performance.
  • Knowledge of various fabrication methods for the manufacturing of metal and plastic parts – machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and injection molding is required.
  • Skilled in 3D modeling software (Solid Works) is preferred.
