Job Summary:

As a Software Automation Tester, you will join diverse team of developers to participate in the specification, design, testing, maintenance, and implementation of software for analytical, bioproduction instruments and allied products. This software, and these instruments a make a real, positive, and strong impact on the lives of people across the globe.

  • Develop and implement Test Cases / Test scenarios/Automate testing for the software builds.
  • Be part of software testing automation strategy and implementation of time efficient test solutions.
  • Work with global software team members to ensure we design and deliver quality software.
  • Work on implementing FAT/UAT protocols on instruments software at our test labs.
  • Provide accurate estimates to complete assigned tasks and complete software test with highest quality.
  • Establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of all work.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Java, .Net, micro-service testing, and API testing
  • Solid understanding of Cucumber testing for behavior-driven development (BDD)
  • Shown experience of 3 or more years with databases (Postgres/MySQL/Oracle/NoSQL DB), persistence frameworks, and SQL
  • Hands on experience with Testing Suites like Test Complete/ Selenium
  • Exposure to development environments like GitHub, Version Control, Jira, Git Hub/ SVN, GitLab, Confluence and DevOps etc.
  • Professional documentation of test results/ test setups etc
  • Experience with SCADA/MES implementations. Ignition SCADA experience is preferable. 
  • Experience with Linux & Windows platform.
  • Experience with defining and implementing Non-Functional Requirements (NFR – Security, Performance, Cost etc.)
  • Testing awareness for cybersecurity threats (OWASP top 10)
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Essential Skill set:
  • Hands on experience of managing complete existing product development activities (Namely Cost out, Quality and Product obsolescence) for product-based organizations.
  • Good experience on existing product development process and working with remote team.
  • Strong in mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5~8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in Vendor Qualification, developing Manufacturing Quality plan, Tooling and component qualification & Thorough understanding of PPAP process.
Desirable Skill set:
  • Excellent organizational skills required to manage small and large projects.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and practices in the design, development, and verification of possible solutions
  • Ability to develop design concepts and turn into finished/product launch.
  • Mechanical design knowledge ranging from component design to system level.
  • Knowledge on either one of the below processes

    • -Value engineering methodologies and how to apply them.

    -Quality Project execution and standards such as Risk assessment, Root cause analysis procedures, DFMEA, PFMEA, ISO, etc.

    -Obsolescence management

  • Knowledge of DFM & DFA with respect to ease of manufacture and assembly.
  • Oversee testing and analysis of products to determine product performance.
  • Knowledge of various fabrication methods for the manufacturing of metal and plastic parts – machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and injection molding is required.
  • Skilled in 3D modeling software (Solid Works) is preferred.
