Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer, you will join diverse team of developers to participate in the specification, design, testing, maintenance, and implementation of software for analytical, bioproduction instruments and allied products. This software, and these instruments a make a real, positive, and strong impact on the lives of people across the globe.

  • Participate in code, design, and test plan reviews.
  • Maintain post launch product software, provide resolution to product quality issues.
  • Work with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Comfortable working with CI/CD environments
  • Work with IEC team locally and global software team members to deliver complete and high-quality software applications to schedule and specification.
  • Establishes, maintains detailed and accurate documentation of all work.
  • Demonstrate strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • 6 to 9 years of experience in relevant software industry.
  • Proficient in Java, Python, Java Script, J2EE, Spring Boot, Sprint, frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ), Docker, RESTFul API, OAuth 2.0, Open API Specification, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google). 
  • Very good with data structures, design patterns, object-oriented design and algorithms used in programming.
  • Proficient with relational, NoSQL, and event streaming databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) 
  • Exposure to development environments like GitHub, Version Control, Jira, Git Hub/ SVN, GitLab, Confluence and DevOps etc.
  • Experience with SCADA/MES implementations. Ignition SCADA experience is preferable. 
  • Experience with Linux & Windows platform.
  • Proficient in Reusability, parameterization, and workflow designs. 
  • Experience in following formal software development lifecycle, including working with requirements, creation of functional/design specifications, code reviews, code coverage and engaging in process Improvements.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with upstream and downstream biological processes. knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 is required. 
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Skill set:
  • Hands on experience of managing complete existing product development activities (Namely Cost out, Quality and Product obsolescence) for product-based organizations.
  • Good experience on existing product development process and working with remote team.
  • Strong in mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5~8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in Vendor Qualification, developing Manufacturing Quality plan, Tooling and component qualification & Thorough understanding of PPAP process.
Desirable Skill set:
  • Excellent organizational skills required to manage small and large projects.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and practices in the design, development, and verification of possible solutions
  • Ability to develop design concepts and turn into finished/product launch.
  • Mechanical design knowledge ranging from component design to system level.
  • Knowledge on either one of the below processes

    • -Value engineering methodologies and how to apply them.

    -Quality Project execution and standards such as Risk assessment, Root cause analysis procedures, DFMEA, PFMEA, ISO, etc.

    -Obsolescence management

  • Knowledge of DFM & DFA with respect to ease of manufacture and assembly.
  • Oversee testing and analysis of products to determine product performance.
  • Knowledge of various fabrication methods for the manufacturing of metal and plastic parts – machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and injection molding is required.
  • Skilled in 3D modeling software (Solid Works) is preferred.
